Rather than comment on this article ourselves we've included a revealing comment left by a zionist on the newspapers website:

Adolescents burn Israeli flag, mezuzahs

Six youngsters between ages of 12 and 15 from coastal town Bat-Yam, south of Tel Aviv, arrested for burning Israeli flag and mezuzah parchments torn from doorposts. The boys, not all Jewish, explain 'We loath anything related to Judaism'

Israeli kids burnt Israeli flag

The right-wing immigration policies of getting as many non-Arab bodies as possible to Israel to balance the Arab demographic "threat" (i.e. put more Jews into the territories so they can be annexed) is to blame here.

Encouraging non-Jewish families (with in many cases only one Jewish member two generations back) to immigrate only leads to disillusionment on the part of children. Even the teenage children of motivated American Zionist immigrants can have trouble coping - how much more so kids who aren't even Jewish.

In the name of promoting Zionism and annexing "Greater Israel" there is now a large number of people who are not Zionist or even pro-Israel and Jewish. I am very much in favor of the Law of Return (I once immigrated under it myself) but encouraging non-Jews to come to Israel is asking to hurt everyone involved. There is an Arab "demographic threat" only if Israel is trying to annex the territories, so let's quit with the nonsense and go back to old-fashioned Zionism.

"We loath Jews and anything related to the Jewish faith," six adolescent said, stunning police investigators.

The boys, aged 12 to 15, were arrested Monday night on suspicion of burning an Israeli flag and mezuzah parchments torn from doorposts. They were released on Tuesday morning and placed under house arrest.

The principle of a Bat-Yam school reported to the police on Monday morning that students had burnt an Israeli flag.

Police investigators and detectives from the Central District arrived at the school and located the six students who are all new immigrants but not all Jewish. They admitted to burning the flag.

The boys were handed over to the juvenile department for further investigation where they described their recent acts of vandalism and claimed to be Satanists.

They say they had stolen at least eight mezuzahs from apartments in one street then lit the parchments in one of the school structures. The structure burnt down as a result.

'Intolerable hatred to Judaism'

They also shocked the investigators by telling them that they inflict wounds on their friends, steal, and destroy public property.

In one case, after a brawl over a girl they spread feces on the front door of her house. They had taken over an abandoned house and turned it into their headquarters.

Head of the investigation unit, Chief Superintendent Meir Cohen, told ynet: "We are talking about troublers of Israel. They hate anything related to the Jewish faith. We are trying to find all of the places they have vandalized.

Most of them are not Jewish and some are from broken homes; they have developed an intolerable hatred to anything related to the Jewish faith and to Israel."

The boys were arrested while Chief Superintendent Cohen was at a meeting with one of the Knesset committees.

The committee requested that the police "be gentle with the boys in the hope that they might eventually return to society." Chief Superintendent Cohen told the MKs about the incident and explained that he would act with all severity. The boys now have criminal records against them and the case was handed over to the welfare authorities.

"[Deportation at the airport] We saw the injured [Turkish] men going through.. a lot had a leg cut out of their trousers or an arm cut out of their top. It had been cut out to treat their wounds.. they were covered in blood, blood that had been there for three days, and some of them had wounds that were still bleeding.. What upset me most was seeing the dozen men, one after another, hobbling across the terminal, with a bandaged foot. I couldn't ask them why so many of them had a bandaged foot, I couldn't ask them what had happened, because if they spoke or if any of us spoke to them the Israelis beat the injured person.. We later found out that they had these injuries on the tops of their feet from when the troops came down from the helicopter on the Mavi Marmara, and they came down firing - they had been shot from above. Some of the men that were killed were shot at close range - head and chest, but a dozen of the men who were shot, among 59 people who were shot, they were shot at the tops of their feet - the bullets were coming down.. They weren't given a wheelchair or a pair of crutches, and if any of the other passengers stood up and tried to offer [help].. that person was dragged away and smacked by these Israelis. The Israeli soldiers sat on the floor, laughed and sniggered and made every one of these Turkish men hobble and hop all the way across, some 200 metres, everyone of them, one by one, made to do that purely for the sick amusement of the Israeli soldiers."
